Government Investigations Practice

We can help client navigate government investigations by the State Attorneys’ General, the US FTC, DOJ, and the FDA.

We have experience in helping clients conduct an internal investigation caused by government interventions. We help clients respond to subpoenas from agencies to help narrow the scope of the discovery.

Because government investigations are increasing, we help affected individuals navigate proffer or “queen for a day” letters that potentially immunize the individual from certain prosecution. But Proffer Letters can be risky as the statements used could be used for derivative uses. Plus it can open up more issues within the company.

We work with white collar defense counsel as needed to ensure that the client’s goals are being met and to serve as resource to white collar defense counsel.

We also help clients to institute government investigations against others. We help put together the necessary dossier of materials, meet with agency regulators to institute investigations. Our critical eye to litigation helps us assemble the dossier of materials to make it easier for the agency to investigate.
